Project Safety Coordinator

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator to support safety initiatives on an active construction site. This individual will play a key role in fostering a safe, compliant, and proactive work environment while partnering closely with field leadership and subcontractors within a large medical campus.

Key Responsibilities:

-Serve as a safety liaison by communicating effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to reinforce site-wide safety expectations

-Maintain a strong understanding of project safety and health programs, client-specific requirements, and applicable regulatory standards

-Support regulatory inspections (e.g., OSHA) and ensure compliance with all applicable standards

-Assist in incident response efforts, including investigations, injury management, and reporting for accidents and near-miss events

-Monitor safety performance across all trades and subcontractors, proactively identifying risks and driving corrective actions

-Participate in ongoing safety training to build knowledge and strengthen site-wide safety culture

-Gain hands-on exposure to the construction process while developing a comprehensive understanding of project roles, responsibilities, and operations

Skills and Requirements

1. A) Seven years of building construction, with at least 5 years of construction safety in General Contracting.

B) Any candidate that has completed a four year degree in safety- related discipline must show at least 3 years of actual field experience in safety.

2. OSHA 500 or 502 Certificate.

3. First Aid, CPR, and AED (current within 2 years)

4. Specialized Training (Must be 4 hours or longer within 5 years)- Can get before they start

b. Scaffolds

c. Excavation

d. Confined Space

e. Crane/ Equipment Operations

f. Electrical

g. Incident Investigations

h. Industrial Hygiene for Construction

i. Fire Protection and Prevention

j. Lockout/ Tagout

k. Basic Crane Rigging

l. Respiratory Protection
