For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) hasspecialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time andpart-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of FederalAgencies across the United States.

NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National ParkService (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise,facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad arrayof other professional skills that support the National Park Service through theExperienced Services Program (ESP).

The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee isan ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminateenrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and theAgency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEWSolutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established througha Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in Marketing/Communications, Programadministration, Recruiting, trades skills: masonry, woodworking or other tradecrafts. Experience in military/veteran recruitment or military-related programadministration is highly preferred, as is experience working as a federalemployee, ideally in the National Park Service. OR HS/GED Degree

Familiarity with the Department of Defense SkillBridge program and itspolicies. Understanding of military procedures, systems, language, etc. that canassist in the translation of timelines, skillsets, occupational series, etc. tocivilian understanding that will meet HPTC SkillBridge program needs.Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint, Adobe Acrobat DC. Excellentoral and written communication skills.Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook,MS SharePoint, Adobe AcrobatDuties:

Enrollee is responsible for member support for the Historic PreservationTraining Center?s SkillBridge Program. SkillBridge participants are militaryservice members completing their last 180 days of active duty service. At HPTC,SkillBridge members work alongside masonry, wood-crafting, and carpentrypreservation crews to practice traditional trades skills and contribute tohistoric preservation projects. This Enrollee will recruit HPTC SkillBridgemembers, provide support for existing members, and help members transition totheir next professional experience once completing their HPTC experience.

Recruitment: Assists with the creation of external marketing and recruitmentmaterials to encourage qualified military members to apply to HPTC SkillBridge.Visits local military base to attend career fairs, meet with local recruitersand interested military members. 40%Placement: Determines eligibility of SkillBridge applicants to a range ofHPTC positions. Answers general questions about the program from the public andrefers individuals to the correct contact or information appropriate for theirquestion. Reviews applications and makes basic qualifications determinations fora full range of commonly filled positions. Counsels, advises and furnishesassistance in administration as it relates to staffing and placement functionsthat apply to SkillBridge. 15%Existing Member Support: Meets indiviaully or as a group, virtually orin-person with current HPTC SkillBridge members to talk through learningopportunities, challenges, successes and goals. Develops and provides trainingmaterials and support on how to translate military skills to non-militaryprofessions and well as other tricks and tips for navigating thistransition. 40%SkillBridge Program Administration and Data Management: Works with HPTCStaff and SkillBridge participants to ensure all onboarding, offboarding, andadministrative paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Set upand enforce system to ensure proper data and PII management and storageaccording to NPS policy. 5%

Other:Required Certifications: Proof of military statusOvernight travel: Potentially 2 times per year for 5 days each tripAir travel anticipated: If the enrollee?s home is not close to a base, thenthey may travel 2-3 times per year to a military baseHealth and Safety Considerations: If member support requires the enrollee toaccompany a SkillBridge participant onsite, they will be held to the same safetystandards and HPTC staff and interns and will depend on the project and site,but may require training such as OSHA 10, or gear like specific personalprotective equipment.Required Safety Gear: If on-site shadowing SkillBridge participants, theenrollee is required to wear and maintain personal protective equipment, as thework requires, including but not limited to, hard hats, safety toed boots,gloves, goggles, fall protection harness, and a variety of respirator types. Theenrollee may work off the ground on ladders, scaffolds and on the structuralframework of buildings.Physical requirements: The physical effort required is considered moderateto low. The majority of work requires regular and continuous focus on a computerscreen, occasional standing up to 8 hours while presenting or recruiting, andsome operation and surveillance of shop functions and work in the field. Minimalon-sight work may require considerable physical exertion related to actions suchas recurring lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying of objects over 50 lbs and ofvarious sizes and shapes.
