Senior Benefits Analyst Location: Remote Job Type: Long-Term Contract Compensation: $50-$55/hour TriSource Staffing Solutions is partnering with a growing organization to identify an experienced Senior Benefits Analyst for a long-term remote contract opportunity. This highly visible role will support the financial integrity, compliance, and operational effectiveness of the company's benefits programs, with a strong focus on self-insured medical plan management, reconciliations, reporting, and vendor oversight. This position is ideal for a highly analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Payroll, HR, and external vendors. Key Responsibilities Benefits Financial Management & Reconciliation Lead monthly reconciliations across all employee benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, and 401(k) Partner closely with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate deductions, employer contributions, and vendor billing Investigate and resolve discrepancies while ensuring timely corrections Maintain reconciliation processes, internal controls, and documentation to support audit readiness Provide monthly reporting and analysis on benefits spend, trends, and variances Self-Insured Medical Plan Oversight Support financial and operational management of the company's self-insured medical plan Analyze claims data, stop-loss coverage, and funding activity Partner with brokers, TPAs, and carriers to monitor plan performance and identify cost drivers Reconcile claims funding, administrative fees, and stop-loss reimbursements Recommend process improvements and cost-saving opportunities Financial Reporting & Close Support Partner with Finance during monthly and quarterly close processes Prepare and validate journal entries related to benefits expenses and liabilities Reconcile benefits-related general ledger accounts and assist with variance analysis Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to benefits spend Cash Flow & Funding Management Monitor claims funding requirements and support cash flow planning for self-insured plan obligations Track large claims activity, reimbursement timing, and vendor payments Provide insight into short- and long-term funding needs Vendor Management & Benefits Operations Serve as a key contact for benefits vendors, brokers, carriers, and administrators Ensure vendor invoices align with contractual terms and enrollment data Support vendor performance reviews and issue resolution Own carrier file processes including testing, data reconciliation, and troubleshooting file issues Assist with annual open enrollment planning, carrier implementations, and enrollment execution Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other applicable regulations Support audits, Form 5500 filings, and documentation requirements Maintain accurate plan documentation, reporting, and internal controls Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field 5-8+ years of benefits administration experience with a strong emphasis on financial analysis and reconciliations Experience supporting or managing self-insured health plans required IBNR experience preferred Strong understanding of benefits compliance and regulatory requirements Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis Experience with HRIS and payroll systems such as ADP, Dayforce, or Rippling Experience with stop-loss insurance and claims analytics preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Why This Opportunity?
