Senior Payroll Analyst Irving, TX - 3X in office per week Compensation: $75K One of Vaco's PE-backed clinical clients is looking to bring onboard a Payroll Analyst to support processing for biweekly/monthly payroll across 29 states and 2K+ employees. This is a high-volume, multi-entity environment working through systems change and automation projects. Leadership is extremely supportive and wants folks to come to the table with new ideas. Looking for Payroll Analysts that can own the processes and speak it in a high volume, larger environment. Key Responsibilities Process and analyze payroll for a large, multi-state employee population on a weekly and biweekly basis Ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations across 29 states Review payroll data for discrepancies, audit exceptions, missing information, and compliance concerns Research and resolve payroll issues related to earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, benefits, PTO, and timekeeping Perform payroll reconciliations, balancing, and validation activities prior to payroll transmission Support payroll tax compliance, including multi-state taxation and quarter/year-end activities Prepare payroll reports, analytics, variance analyses, and ad hoc reporting for leadership and Finance Partner closely with HR and operational leaders to ensure employee changes are accurately reflected in payroll systems Assist with payroll audits, SOX/internal controls, and documentation of payroll procedures Monitor payroll trends and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and increased efficiency Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information Support payroll system upgrades, testing, implementations, and integrations as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred 3+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and multi-state payroll tax requirements Experience with large payroll systems such as Workday, UKG, ADP, Ceridian, or similar platforms Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
