Zachry Group is searching for a Talent Acquisition Specialist or passionate learner of processes and fast-paced environments to work at our office in Mooresville, North Carolina. In this role, you will be supporting our Talent Acquisition team and guiding our hires through: scheduling onboarding processes, conducting health screens, maintaining a safe and clean workspace, preparing new hire packets, and providing exceptional communication to effectively ensure a seamless first day.
RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Talent Acquisition Specialist , you will collaborate closely with our team on site and Talent Acquisition Recruiters to track and ensure candidates pre-employment requirements are completed and within compliance, schedule and conduct pre-employment health screens, coordinate new hire orientation, and prepare new hire packets.
Responsibilities
- Providing necessary information and resources to facilitate a successful transition for new employees and ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
- Scheduling and conducting in office onboarding/processing and coordinating new employee orientation sessions on site.
- Serving as a point of contact for new hires, addressing their questions and concerns and managing the onboarding process.
- Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team and site to ensure seamless transition for hires
- Monitoring candidates progress of required tasks related to the hiring process (background checks, drug screen, health screen, I9 compliance, E-Verify compliance, employment paperwork, site specific requirements).
- Facilitating the completion of new hire paperwork, including employment contracts, benefits enrolment, and other necessary documentation.
- Ensuring completion of paperwork and following all legal and administrative compliance when onboarding candidates.
- Performing administrative duties such as: data entry, communicating with site and candidates via email/phone, filing, scanning/copying, and scheduling.
- Updating Applicant Tracking System in real time with candidate information and interactions.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSRequired skills and qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to occasionally travel (EX: job fairs, site visits, training, etc.)
- Must be comfortable conducting health screens and following HIPPA guidelines.
- Must be comfortable working with medical PPE and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to create/maintain rapport with hires and Zachry team members.
- Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate the diverse needs and backgrounds of new employees.
- Ability to meet deadlines and expectations under high pressure situations.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Knowledge of employment laws/compliance and regulations related to onboarding and employee documentation.
- Prior experience in fields such as: Healthcare, Public Services, Administration, Human Resources, or Industrial Construction.
- PHR or SHRM-CP
- Current Zachry or Zachry ROFed employee.
Physical Demands
- Work will be in a general office environment with occasional work in an industrial location.
- Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and occassional lifting.
- May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
