The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for union and non-union employees. This role audits time records, reconciles payroll data, supports tax-related activities, maintains payroll records, and resolves discrepancies. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with payroll systems and collective bargaining agreements.

salary: $24 - $26 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and on time for union and non-union employees across multiple FEINs and collective bargaining agreements on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain payroll records in compliance with applicable laws, including the Davis-Bacon Act, and ensure all changes are entered with appropriate approvals.
  • Review, audit, and reconcile timecards after manager approval, following up as needed to resolve discrepancies.
  • Research and resolve payroll issues by partnering with payroll staff, Human Resources, and operational leaders to maintain data integrity across HR and payroll systems.
  • Respond promptly to employee and management questions, ensuring timely and professional issue resolution.
  • Update and maintain union pay rates, benefit rates, and working assessments in the appropriate HR/payroll system in coordination with HR.
  • Continuously review payroll processes and recommend improvements that increase accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
