Job Summary

Must be self-directed with a high level of accountability and minimal supervision. Primary role is assisting locations with development and implementation of master schedule. Serves as training resource for those in front-line scheduling role. Conducts regular trainings workshops to increase end-users confidence and skill with OnShift software. The Lead Staffing Coordinator serves as an expert advisor on all master-scheduling tools and processes. Able to perform at a high-level, complex work as an experienced and professional individual who holds in-depth and expert knowledge of nursing scheduling practices. Performs a variety of assignments to ensure the OnShift tool is fully leveraged and all centers are Average or Strong users of the tool. Makes recommendations on new processes, tools and services that can impact multiple areas of the operation involving deployment of staff. Exercises independent judgment on matters of significance including making recommendations to management on approach/options to accomplishing objectives in the scheduling arena.

Responsible for assisting locations with development and implementation of master schedule. Serves as training resource for those in front-line scheduling role. Conducts regular trainings workshops to increase end-users confidence and skill with OnShift software.

Possess ability to prioritize multiple projects. Advanced knowledge of HPRD (hours per resident day) calculation required. Individual will need to research and understand staffing rules and staffing impacts to quality and reimbursement in states the society operates in.

Qualifications

Post secondary education or equivalent training in a health care or business related field is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Significant experience with PPD management in a LTC/Post Acute setting. Experience managing HRPD calculations within a scheduling software. OnShift Scheduling software experience at the mastery level.

Experience coaching and training others, particularly in the area of scheduling or scheduling software utilization.
