We will consider local Texas candidates or full time travelers. Job Summary The Assistant Safety Manager supports the implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of PARIC's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs across active construction projects. This role partners closely with Safety Managers, project leadership, superintendents, and trade partners to help drive a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with PARIC standards and OSHA regulations. In this position, the Assistant Safety Manager plays a key role in field-level safety oversight, contributing to inspections, training, incident prevention, and reporting while supporting the overall safety strategy on assigned projects. Responsibilities Support the implementation of PARIC's HSE Management System to meet project-specific needsAssist in developing, reviewing, and supporting Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs), including review of trade partner safety plansUnderstands safety programs and assist project team in development and review of SSSP to follow PARIC and owner safety policies.Participate in and support Pre-Task Planning (PTP) meetings with PARIC teams and trade partnersAssist with lift plan reviews and other project-specific safety plansBuild working knowledge of construction sequencing and building processes to better identify and mitigate safety risksEnsures compliance to all PARIC and Federal and state safety regulationsCommunicate PARIC safety policies and expectations clearly to project teams, trade partners, and craft professionalsSupport project teams in maintaining compliance with PARIC safety policies and OSHA requirementsEstablish consistent communication with supervision and craft regarding project safety culture, observations, and performanceAssist supervision and employees with planning work activities, focusing on hazard identification and risk mitigationUtilize PARIC audit and assessment tools to identify safety hazards and track corrective actions to completionBuild strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to support overall project safety goalsModel and apply PARIC's Core Values in daily project executionPerform other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Required: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field OR equivalent job experienceOSHA 30-Hour certification required3-5 years of experience in construction safety, field operations, or a related roleStrong desire to learn construction processes and safety best practicesAbility to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, from craft professionals to project leadershipProactive, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to follow through on action items Preferred: CHST/ASP/CSP or related certificationsAbility to travelGeneral contractor experience Why Join Us?
