Summary
Reporting to the VP Human Resources, this full-time, exempt salaried role is responsible for the full life cycle recruiting to include recruitment, selection, placement and onboarding of applicants. The successful candidate must possess considerable skill in interviewing & recruitment techniques, a good knowledge of compatible HRIS applications, as well as a good working knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Manages recruitment process by developing effective recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing through collaboration with the management team. Develops specific recruiting plans as needed.
- Engages with and sources job candidates through online social networking tools and technology. Establishes and maintains a social media presence and relationships online to help proactively fill the talent pipeline.
- Uses/attends/plans/schedules traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events etc. to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Posts, processes and tracks job requisitions. Manages the applicant tracking system.
- May provide initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.
- Screens and refers qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers.
- Prepares and disseminates offer letters to selected candidates. Obtains Chief People Officer approval and completes offer letter packet. Notifies applicable managers of status.
- Coordinates appropriate employment testing.
- Responsible for the oversight and administration of the background check and new hire drug testing.
- Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters etc.
- Assists with onboarding activities.
- Involved in the full life-cycle of the employee, and responsible for conducting the Exit Interview with employees leaving the Credit Union.
- Develops and conducts training programs for managers with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reducing turnover.
- Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents hiring business metrics to Chief People Officer.
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices, recruitment sites such as Indeed and LinkedIn as a source to generate qualified applicants.
- Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
- Processes applicable billing.
- Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organization related to recruiting and human resources.
- Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations.
- Drives bi-weekly staffing meeting and requisition reporting.
- Assists Chief People Officer with non-recruiting related activities as needed to include generalist special project work as assigned.
- Assists with surveys and initiates employee engagement activities.
- Performs job with a service minded, position and team-oriented approach.
- Maintains professional/ technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- 1 years to 5 years of similar or related Recruitment experience.
- Working knowledge of HRIS and employment labor law.
- Knowledge of human resources and recruiting principles, concepts, practices and guidelines.
- Organization skills with strong attention to detail.
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines.
- Experience with creating Recruiting procedures.
- Experience with managing social media networks in a professional setting.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- PHR certified preferred.
- Working knowledge of UKG systems preferred.
