Fork Union Military Academy is seeking an energetic, people-focused Admissions & Enrollment Recruiter who thrives on building relationships, connecting with families, and helping young men find an environment where they can succeed academically, personally, and as leaders. This position plays a key role in growing Academy enrollment and sharing the mission and values of FUMA with prospective families.
The ideal candidate is comfortable communicating with families, following up with prospective students, attending recruitment events, and creating a positive first impression of the Academy. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys relationship-building, outreach, and working in a mission-driven educational environment.
This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit mission-appropriate students through outreach, relationship-building, and strategic follow-up
- Guide prospective families through every phase of the admissions and enrollment process
- Conduct campus tours and coordinate the Cadet Tour Guide Program
- Review applications and assist in evaluating admission eligibility
- Support reenrollment and retention initiatives
- Represent FUMA at recruitment events, school fairs, community events, and related activities
- Assist with Open House, Revisit Days, and other enrollment programs
- Maintain admissions materials, records, and office support functions
- Collaborate with Academy leadership and staff to achieve enrollment goals
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a bachelors degree and demonstrate strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with students and families is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and enrollment management software.
