This is an internal posting for candidates who are already employed at Northwest Missouri State University. Only internal candidates within the Admissions Department employed as an Admissions Representative will be considered for this position. PRIMARY DUTY: The Senior Admissions Representative is responsible for representing and promoting Northwest Missouri State University accurately and persuasively to prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, educators, and other publics. The Senior Admissions Representative will lead and conduct all training for new and continuing Admissions Representatives. This position will also assist with the management of the Student Ambassador program. Also, this position will assist the Campus Visit Coordinator with the management of all on-campus recruitment events. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Responsible for the coordination and management of all off-campus recruitment activities (including but not limited to: counselor luncheons, junior nights, high school visits, college fairs, regional conferences, award presentations, and other venues) with their assigned territory 2. Create and maintain positive relationships with prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, educators, and other publics within assigned territory by providing information on academics, value, housing, student life, and general university activities 3. Analyze student data to select which recruitment strategies and information are most effective for each prospective student. 4. Utilize data management to target select populations for all armchair recruitment activities. 5. Actively conduct armchair recruitment that occurs during all stages of the recruitment funnel. Includes contact via emails, personal notes, phone calls, texting, and social media. 6. Utilize data management for the coordination of all off-campus recruitment activities within their assigned territory (counselor luncheons, junior days, high school visits, college fairs, regional conferences, enrollment workshops, and other venues as assigned) 7. Responsible for scheduling, managing, and coordinating all Admission Representative training and new hire training. 8. Responsible for hiring of Student Ambassadors and managing the Student Ambassador team. 9. Establish, maintain, and build relationships with guidance counselors through phone call prospecting. 10. Review, update, and utilize computer-based lead tracking systems to aid in prospective student recruitment 11. Analyze data and select high schools and community colleges within their assigned territory to visit and conduct group presentations 12. Use territory management and data analysis to select college fairs to participate in. 13. Utilize value-added and relationship-based techniques when working with prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, educators, and other publics 14. Create and achieve territorial goals and objectives based on trend data, historical reporting, and evaluation of prospect and admitted database information 15. Analyze, read, and report feedback to the Associate Director of Admissions concerning the ongoing competitive environment 16. Assist the Campus Visit Coordinator with the coordination of all on-campus recruitment activities (Campus visit days, bus tours, departmental visit days, distinguished scholars day, and other on-campus events) 17. Assist the Coordinator of Student Orientation & Transfer Affairs with the coordination of Summer Orientation and Registration, Advantage Week, and General Registration 18. Survey residents of the assigned territory to assess the needs of prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, educators, and other publics 19. Serve as a liaison between various internal departments (Intercultural/International Center, Financial Assistance, Advisement/Assistance, Admissions North, academic departments, Residential Life, and other areas) in the resolution of prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, educators, and other public concerns and issues 20. Perform other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree Certification/License: Driver's license Experience: 1-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area Skills: Extensive knowledge of colleges and universities; ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds as well as cultivate awareness of cultural diversity; strong organizational skills; strong public speaking skills; ability to load, unload, and set up exhibits WORKING CONDITIONS: Required to work weekends and some evenings, with extensive travel during peak months SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Minimal supervisory responsibilities TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Load, unload, and set up exhibits of promotional materials COMMUNITY: Northwest Missouri State University is located in Maryville, Missouri, a community of 12,000 with a diverse economy and a strong industrial base.
