Senior Manager, HR Shared Services (HR Operations)
Location: Deer Park, TX 77536
Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 remote)
Compensation: $175,000 - $180,000 base + 20% bonus
Lead the Build. Not Just the Function.
This is not a steady-state HR operations role.
We are looking for a senior HR leader who can step into a complex environment, stabilize what exists today, and thoughtfully build what comes next. You will lead an evolving HR Shared Services function supporting a large-scale business integration-working across teams, systems, and processes that are still taking shape.
If you've successfully led HR operations through change, know how to influence without forcing disruption, and can build structure in the "gray," this is the kind of challenge you've been waiting for.
What You'll Own
Full leadership of an HR Shared Services function, including multiple layers of leadership
Oversight of:
HRIS & Data (Workday environment)
Talent Administration
Benefits and Leave (with indirect oversight)
A team of leaders (3-4 direct reports) with broader teams under each
The balance between stability and transformation during an active integration
What You'll Actually Do
Build and refine HR processes without disrupting critical day-to-day operations
Drive smarter ways of working through automation, standardization, and system optimization
Partner across HR and business leadership to align operations with evolving organizational needs
Introduce structure, KPIs, and service standards where they don't fully exist today
Lead change at the right pace-knowing when to push and when to adapt
Navigate stakeholder dynamics with influence, not authority
What Makes Someone Successful Here
This role requires a very specific leadership profile:
You've led leaders, not just teams
You know how to improve processes inside imperfect systems
You are comfortable operating without a perfect roadmap
You influence effectively without being forceful or disruptive
You can move things forward without breaking what works today
You understand how to pace change in organizations that don't move quickly
What You Bring
10+ years of HR experience, with a strong focus in HR Operations
7+ years specifically leading HR operational functions
Proven experience managing managers and multi-layered teams
Deep experience across areas like HRIS, benefits, onboarding, or shared services
Strong process improvement and operational design mindset
Experience working through organizational change or integration
Nice to Have
Workday experience
Background in HR Shared Services or centralized HR models
Exposure to large, complex, or multi-entity environments
Why This Role Stands Out
You'll build and shape a function-not inherit a finished one
High visibility with senior HR leadership
Real opportunity to influence how HR operates at scale
Complex, meaningful work-not maintenance
Pay Details: $175,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year
