About the Role** We are seeking a dedicated Sr. Payroll Union Analyst to join our team. This role involves managing and processing union dues and employer contribution payments, ensuring compliance with strict dea dlines, and maintaining accurate payroll setups in our ERP system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, particularly within union environments, and will be adept at using advanced Excel and ERP systems. **Responsibilities** - Process weekly and monthly union dues and employer contribution payments for various unions, adhering to strict dea dlines. - Collaborate with the centralized PTP group to confirm completion of all payments and reconcile payment requests with weekly payment reports. - Provide unions with supporting documents on a scheduled basis after completing weekly and monthly payments. - Review and maintain employee union dues withholding, 401k, and Flexible Spending elections as received from unions or divisional operations teams. - Maintain payroll setup in the ERP system for multiple union dues and contributions tables, including working with IT support for changes and testing. - Support data verification and troubleshoot errors related to payroll earnings and dues for union employees and employer contributions. - Maintain relationships with Labor Relations and Divisional Operations teams to resolve employee and union inquiries/discrepancies. - Research and fulfill external union or union pension/health plan requests for employee information or verification of processed payments. - Manage weekly union plans interface files, verify data, and collaborate with tech support for corrections. - Provide standard and ad hoc reporting requests for division accounting departments. - Conduct monthly reconciliation of union payroll balance sheet accounts. - Manage and compile all annual union audit data requests for pension, health, or 401k employer contributions. - Maintain all union contract employer contribution rates, including updating and testing payroll system configuration. - Process manual adjustments for union-related deductions and withholdings on an ad hoc basis in collaboration with the payroll processing team. - Participate in special projects as assigned. **Education Qualification** - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. **Required Skills** - Proficiency with advanced Excel formulas and pivot tables; comfort using data access software and query reporting tools. - Experience with SAP EC Payroll is desired, or experience with a large-scale ERP is required. - 3-5 years of experience with high-volume union data. - Demonstrated experience in interpreting payroll processing results and costing in the General Ledger. - Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
