Client: Banking/Finance Title: Payroll Tax Analyst Duration: 12 months + possible extension or conversion Location: Tampa, FL 33610 Pay: ($25-$27.53) hourly Payroll Tax Reporting Specialist - North America Overview: This role is responsible for accurate and timely payroll tax filings, reconciliations, funding, and compliance across U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions using Workday and SmartCompliance. Responsibilities: Process and review payroll tax filings for U.S. and Canada (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual) Reconcile payroll results against vendor reporting and tax balances Ensure timely tax payments and compliance with federal, state, local, and Canadian regulations Research and resolve agency notices and payroll tax discrepancies Support payroll tax funding, reporting, and audit activities Maintain and update process documentation and SOPs Partner with internal teams on payroll projects and process improvements Train and support junior payroll specialists Escalate risks/issues and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies Qualifications: 0-2 years of payroll tax, payroll operations, or related experience Knowledge of payroll tax filings, reconciliation, and compliance processes Experience with MS Office required Exposure to Workday, ServiceNow, and SmartCompliance preferred Payroll Garnishment Experience is nice to have and will be preferred.
