JOB SUMMARY:
The Workforce Relations Business Partner (BP) provides Human Resources Generalist support by offering proactive direction and guidance and clearly communicating to all managers and employees, elements managed by the organization. This entails partnering with management and staff and performing the following essential job duties for this position:
Having knowledge of and understanding specific performance incentives for each organization supported; participate in organizational and/or leadership staff meetings.
Review of organization structure and/or charts for accuracy of job title/classification/span of management and implement restructure and/or reorganizations submittals for HRIS.
Compensation: (1) internal manager reassignments, review job descriptions, and assist with compensation processes, to include: peer reviews on job audits for classification determinations and providing salary planning guidance, procedure guidance, and equity review assistance in collaboration with the Compensation team.
Performance Management: (1) performance review implementation and tracking to completion, (2) development, implementation and monitoring of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs); (3) assisting with expectations and follow-through.
Workforce Restructuring: (1) understand and implement rating/ranking process and all associated restructuring activities (including right-sizing and span of management evaluations), and (2) assist management with restructuring activities, if necessary.
Retention: conduct exit interviews, analyze data and manage concerns as needed.
Employee Relations: (1) consult with managers on policies/procedures and personnel issues and conflicts, (2) conduct workplace and personnel conflict investigations related to standards of conduct violations.
EEO: comprehensive knowledge of EEO/Diversity regulations, policies and procedures to conduct initial screenings of concerns.
Training: provide HR-related presentations/training as needed or requested, including New Hire Orientation and Essentials courses, and monthly staff shares.
This position is responsible for the Safe and Drug Free Workplace program for the company, as such coordinates the administration of the Drug and Alcohol testing programs, among other associated tasks.
Support to management and the workforce may take place in the field, or after-hours, as needed.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree, plus 5 years of related HR experience - OR - an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Familiarity with the workplace investigations process and subsequent report writing.
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Demonstrated experience working in highly confidential environment(s).
Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge.
Desired Qualifications
PHR/SPHR or other certification(s) a plus.
Experience in conducting workplace investigations and subsequent report writing.
Experience working in an environment with bargaining unit employees.
Ability to run reports in Crystal, Excel, and Access.
Ability to create and provide training to a wide range of audiences.
Compensation & Benefits
Grade 16: $90,150 - $113,550
Grade 17: $99,063 - $124,788
Grade 18: $109,013 - $137,538
