Avient is seeking a forward thinking, business-minded HR Generalist to support our Color & Additives Business. Based in Arizona, this role supports two primary manufacturing sites and requires regular on-site presence to build strong relationships with leaders and employees. The role also partners across the broader region and requires flexibility to travel in support of additional sites, business initiatives, and HR projects.
Job Summary
The HR Generalist serves as a key partner to the business, supporting the execution of HR strategies that drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and talent outcomes. This role balances day-to-day HR support with opportunities to contribute to broader initiatives, while ensuring a consistent, compliant, and high-quality employee experience. This role requires fluency in both Spanish and English to effectively support and engage with the workforce.
What You'll Do
Partner with site leaders and the HR Manager to deliver HR support aligned with business needs
Support HR execution across assigned manufacturing locations, including regular on-site engagement
Contribute to talent activities such as recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and employee development
Build effective working relationships with site leaders and provide guidance on employee and organizational matters, escalating complex issues as needed
Support employee relations, performance management, and development processes at assigned sites
Administer and ensure compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and company standards
Use HR data and insights (e.g., turnover, attendance, engagement) to support decision-making and action planning
Help implement HR initiatives and continuous improvement efforts in partnership with the broader HR team
Champion a safe, inclusive, and highaccountability work environment
Lead and support change initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness
Ability to travel approximately 15% beyond routine site visits to support broader business initiatives, projects, or meetings.

What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
1-3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-site environment
Foundational knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and employment laws
Tech savvy with an interest in using systems to drive operational excellence
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Fluency in Spanish and English required
Willingness to travel and maintain regular on-site presence to support assigned locations
