About The Role
The HR Generalist, Global SMD Operations, is responsible for the day-to-day operational success of the SMD Office. This role focuses on the practical execution of global HR standards and the management of key lifecycle events for our senior leaders. Working closely with Regional HR and Centers of Excellence, you will ensure that SMD-related processes-such as promotions, onboarding, and KSIP program administration-are handled with precision and global alignment.
What You'll Do
Process Coordination & Improvement: Support the evolution of the SMD Office by identifying workflow inefficiencies and suggesting practical operational enhancements. Coordinate the day-to-day tasks that ensure seamless support for the firm's senior leaders with specific focus on SMD compensation
Standardized Operations: Assist in the implementation of standardized processes across business segments. Apply established best practices to maintain a "one-firm" approach while helping segments adapt to specific local needs
Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact for the SMD Office. Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal partners, including:
HR Operations and Regional HR teams
Global Centers of Excellence (COEs)
Business Segments and the SMD community
Execute SMD Lifecycle Events: Administer and coordinate key stages of the SMD lifecycle and KSIP program, including onboarding, promotions, transitions, and separations
Provide hands-on support for core SMD processes to resolve operational bottlenecks and improve the speed of cross-functional support
Support Segments and Regions by providing guidance on global HR standards to ensure consistent experience for all SMDs (i.e. Onboarding, Offboarding, Performance Management)
Ensure all processes align with global standards while respecting local legal and cultural requirements

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University
3+ years of experience working in HR field focused on projects, process improvement and change management
Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Experience across multiple HR functions including HR data updates, payroll, benefits, compensation, and recruiting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior time management and organization skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues
Demonstrates ability to collaborate within a team
Process Implementation: Experience executing process improvements within a complex, global matrixed environment
Discretion & Professionalism: Proven ability to handle highly confidential information and sensitive organizational changes with care
Collaborative Mindset: A team-oriented approach with the ability to work across departments and align diverse groups toward shared goals
Experience with CRM Software, Onboarding platforms, Performance Management system, Leave Management system (e.g. Workday) is a plus
Experience troubleshooting across multiple platforms/systems - demonstrated technical ability
Continuous improvement mindset and a passion for measuring results through data and metrics a must
Ability to multitask in a highly dynamic environment and manage own work to meet deadlines
Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability according to the changing needs and priorities of the organization
Ability to handle multiple ranges of tasks, projects and deliverables with wide latitude for independent judgment and initiative
Strong relationship builder/ at all levels with a client service mindset
Ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and discretion at all-times
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.)

Compensation
Minimum Pay: $69,000
Maximum Pay: $121,500
Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual's location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
