Job Description Summary:

Fenwick is seeking a Senior Partner Recruiting Coordinator to support our Lateral Partner Hiring efforts. This role will assist in executing our firmwide strategy for lateral partner recruitment. The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, and collaborative, with experience supporting high-level recruiting processes in a law firm or professional services environment. This is a hands-on role focused on coordination, communication, and candidate experience, with exposure to firm leadership, practice groups, and key stakeholders.

This position can be based in our Silicon Valley (CA) or San Francisco (CA) office locations and offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to work both from home and at your designated Fenwick office. The frequency of in-office work will be determined by business needs and guided by your department's directives.

Job Description:

  • Assist with tracking and detailing lateral partner hiring needs in collaboration with senior management, Practice Group Leaders, and Firm Leadership.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the interview process for lateral partner candidates, including scheduling, interviewer communications, and interview prep materials.
  • Draft and maintain candidate materials and profiles for internal review and committee presentations.
  • Coordinate with search firms throughout the hiring process, maintaining communication, tracking submissions, and helping ensure an efficient process.
  • Collaborate with team to conduct market research to support candidate targeting and recruitment strategies.
  • Ensure a seamless and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring lifecycle.
  • Coordinate all hiring and pre-arrival actions for partners, including: reference checks, conflicts submittals, state bar verification, and acting as a liaison with incoming partner, coordinating new hire paperwork and start dates.
  • Collaborate with other departments to arrange first-week orientation and integration activities to ensure the incoming partner is able to access all critical systems and items during the first week.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Marketing/Business Development, and Practice Management to support longer term integration to the firm.
  • Assist in compiling metrics and tracking data to support strategic reporting and lateral hiring analysis.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of professionalism at all levels of the organization.
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with strong judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (e.g., viRecruit, Workday) and Microsoft Office applications a plus.
  • Experience supporting lateral partner recruiting or executive-level hiring.
  • Knowledge of the legal industry and current talent market trends.

Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, the ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in legal or executive recruiting, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment. Bachelors degree required.

The anticipated range for this position is:

$76,000 - $107,500

Depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance. Additional information about employee eligibility for benefits and discretionary bonus will be made available upon request.
