Position SummaryThe HR Generalist is a highly visible and interactive member of the HR team, supporting daily operations, colleague experience, compliance, safety, and HR initiatives. This role serves as a trusted resource for colleagues and leaders while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport culture initiatives including engagement, recognition, wellness, and appreciation
Coordinate compliance training and track completion
Manage work injury and illness reporting and documentation
Administer workers compensation claims
Maintain OSHA logs and ensure workplace safety compliance
Coordinate safety committee initiatives
Track employee certifications and licenses
Reconcile benefit invoices and support annual enrollment
Respond to unemployment claims
Maintain accurate HR data and records
Support training and development initiatives
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and support
Assist with HR projects and daily operations as assigned
QualificationsBilingual in English and Spanish required with strong verbal and written communication skills in both
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Familiarity with HR best practices, labor laws, and employee relations preferred
Experience supporting safety, training, employee relations, or HR operations preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and tools like Canva
Experience with HRIS systems preferred
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the day
Ability to occasionally lift or move moderate weight
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of HR experience preferred, ideally in hospitality or service-focused environment
