HR Administrator (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: SANTA, BARBARA, CALIFRONIA (Local Candidates Only)
Pay: $26-31 per hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HR Administrator to support daily human resources operations. This role provides direct administrative support to the HR Director and offers the opportunity to grow into a well-rounded HR professional. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in building a long-term career in HR and demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the HR Director
Assist with HR audits, compliance checks, and documentation
Generate, pull, and format reports from the HRIS system
Serve as payroll backup, with the ability to run a full payroll cycle independently within 90 days
Support various HR functions including benefits, leave of absence (LOA), recruitment, and operations
Handle additional administrative tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
Associates or Bachelors degree, or HR certification preferred
Minimum of 2 years of HR administrative experience, including payroll exposure
Strong proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems; ability to quickly learn new platforms
Experience with payroll processing and understanding of payroll cycles
High level of discretion handling confidential employee and compensation data
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PeopleGuru or similar systems (e.g., Paylocity, Paycom, Rippling, BambooHR, ADP Workforce Now)
Background in payroll processing within a mid-sized organization
Familiarity with payroll tax, garnishments, and multi-cycle payroll runs
Ability to adapt to a variety of administrative tasks
