Position Overview:

As a Sourcing Specialist II, you will support sourcing activities for powertrain components, including engine gaskets/seals, fuel injectors, and reed valves, ensuring continuity of supply and alignment with broader commodity strategies. In this role, you will coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to support product development, production, and cost management initiatives. You will contribute to supplier selection, cost analysis, and project execution while maintaining strong communication and operational discipline. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full sourcing lifecycle and influence supplier performance, cost efficiency, and production outcomes at the global leader in Powersports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate sourcing activities supporting product development, launches, and production for assigned powertrain categories.
  • Prepare and execute requests for quotes and proposals in alignment with commodity strategies.
  • Monitor cost, schedule, technical progress, and drawing release status, and drive corrective actions as needed.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives including tariff mitigation, supplier consolidation, and cost recovery efforts.
  • Perform cost analysis to identify savings opportunities and execute approved cost reduction projects.
  • Coordinate supplier communication related to new component releases, design changes, and production requirements.
  • Support supplier contract development and implementation.
  • Partner with suppliers to address quality concerns, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and capacity requirements.
  • Support resolution of part shortages, delivery challenges, and supplier lead-time constraints.
  • Ensure tooling aligns with cost and quality requirements and support negotiation of tooling costs with suppliers.
  • Maintain sourcing data, including cost changes, supplier assignments, and project tracking in systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a technical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of purchasing or related experience (e.g., sales, engineering).
  • Demonstrated negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a structured and organized manner.
  • Experience developing and maintaining supplier relationships in a professional environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation and technical data.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems such as MAPICS and web-based business tools is preferred.
  • Experience with presentation development and delivering content to leadership audiences.
  • Working knowledge of project management tools and coordination practices.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $72,000 to $82,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere within the range based on these factors, it is uncommon to start at the high end or the top of the range.
