Department Summary:
Ohio University is seeking an experienced, strategic, and relationship driven professional to serve as a Senior Regional Recruitment Manager (SR RRM ), leading advanced recruitment and enrollment efforts in Southwest Ohio. This position will guide prospective students and families through the admissions and enrollment processes, applying deep expertise in academic programs, admissions policy, and student services to support informed decision making. Through a combination of strategic planning, personalized engagement, and data informed decision making, the SR RRM will directly influence enrollment outcomes and strengthen OHIOs position in the region.

As a senior leader within the regional recruitment structure, the SR RRM will independently design and execute territory specific strategies, manage complex outreach and travel plans, and represent Ohio University at high impact events. The position will cultivate strong, lasting relationships with students, families, school counselors, and community partners, translating institutional strengths into compelling, student centered messaging. In addition to conducting holistic application review and contributing to admission decisions, the position will navigate nuanced applicant scenarios with confidence and help ensure consistency and quality across the review process.

The Senior Regional Recruitment Manager uses advanced data analysis to refine recruitment strategies, leads or contributes to major office initiatives, and serves as a resource to colleagues by mentoring new staff and supporting student employees. This role is ideal for a seasoned admissions professional who thrives in a fast paced, independent environment, enjoys balancing strategy with hands on engagement, and is motivated to make a measurable impact on OHIOs enrollment success.

Position Profile:
Recruits, evaluates, and participates in the selection of candidates for University admission. Coordinates with all internal departments, external organizations, and individuals involved in the admissions process. Advises applicants and parents about educational planning. Ensures the effective and compliant processing of student applications.

Level Summary:
Regularly serves as a technical leader, expert, or program manager for complex functions or initiatives that require deep subject-matter knowledge. Significantly impacts the department by directly contributing to its performance and success.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provides leadership to projects or initiatives. May have a limited number of direct reports.

Fiscal Responsibilities:
May be responsible for budget for projects or initiatives.

Problem Solving:
Leads problem-solving efforts across various challenges.

Independence of Action:
Operates with high autonomy and is trusted to make decisions.

Communication and Collaboration:
Frequently collaborates cross-functionally and represents the team in meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Influences decision-making.

Physical Requirements:
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelors degree in a related field and 8 or more years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with a masters degree are strongly preferred.

Preference given to candidates living in the Cincinnati, Ohio metro area.

Previous experience in college admissions, academic advising in higher education, college student personnel, or counseling or teaching in secondary schools; demonstrated interpersonal and written communication and public speaking skills. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively. Data analysis experience.

The incumbent is able to represent the University in a professional and positive manner and abide by the National Association for College Admission Counselings Guide to Ethical Practice in College Admission.

Ability to travel independently including overnight and internationally. Ability to pass background checks, university judiciary review, and regular driving history audits.
