The HRBPworksclosely with colleagues in HRtoimplement and enhance the HR vision and agenda fortheirpartner groups.Theyareconstantlyensuring process and policycompliance andcommunicating employee relations strategies for bargaining and non-bargaining team members. They also helpteam leads and managers get more comfortable and confident in theirroles andwork closely with leadership tofoster a culture of engagement. Reporting to theManager, HR Operations,theHRBPisadedicated contact for certainpartner groupswithin theorganization, advising on performance management, making sureteam membersfeel heard, and taking action with what they’ve learned.TheHRBPacts as the bridgebetween teams, their people, and leadership,ensuring an engaged, productive, and efficient workforce.
As a strategic partner to the business,the HRBPhelpsto balance risk while considering employee,team, and business perspectives. Theyhave a constant pulse ontheirpartner groups and provide critical updates and recommendations totheirHR colleaguesabout vacancies, training programs, and health & safety.
Additional Responsibilities
- Research, investigate, and resolve employee relations issues.
- Educate, coach, and partner with managers on performance management and employee development goals, as well aspolicies, employment issues, and workplace challenges.
- Develop, implement, and analyze programs to increase retention, satisfaction, and engagement.
- Support performance, attendance, and disability management programs.
- Provide HRexpertisein the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation, and organizational development.
- Participate in the continual development of HR programs, suchasrecruitment,retention, compensation, benefits, andlearning &development.
- Analyze and interpretvarious typesof employee reports (e.g., engagement, job levels, and attrition), policies, By-Laws, and legislationto guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to theirpartnergroup.
What do you need to be successful?
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Industrial Relations, or similar
- 4+ years progressive experience in a Human Resources function as a Generalist or Labour Relations Specialist
- Experience working in a unionizedenvironment.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Strong problem solving, change management, and project managementskills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent listening, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to quickly build rapport anddemonstrateempathy.
- Sound judgement with a high degree of confidentiality.
Would be an asset if you had:
- Experience working in or supporting a retailenvironment.
- CPHR designation (or working towards designation)
- Experience working with dataanalytics.

Language competencies
- Bilingualismin both official languages is required
Work location:
- The Retail Operations Centre is located in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
- The successful candidate must be based in New Brunswick, this role is a remote.
- Semi-regular travel for meetings and project work may be required.
Compensation information:
$75,720- $85,730
