JOB TITLE: Payroll & HRIS Coordinator

SALARY: $65,000 to $75,000
SUMMARY:
Support the Payroll Team with payroll processing and day-to-day HRIS administration. The Payroll & HRIS Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, processing payroll transactions, conducting routine audits, supporting reporting needs, and ensuring employee data is entered and maintained accurately within ADP Workforce Now and related HR systems.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Payroll Administration
• Review and audit timesheets, timekeeping records, and payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance prior to payroll processing.
• Process payroll-related transactions, including new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, leave adjustments, and prorated pay calculations.
• Maintain employee payroll records, including tax withholding, direct deposit, deductions, and other payroll-related information.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, respond to employee inquiries, and assist with payroll reporting and audits.
• Ensure payroll activities are completed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
HRIS Administration
• Maintain accurate employee data within ADP Workforce Now and other HR systems, including new hire records, personnel changes, and employee updates.
• Review and process personnel actions and employee transactions to ensure data integrity, compliance, and accurate recordkeeping.
• Conduct routine audits of employee records and electronic personnel files, making corrections as necessary.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, employee self-service, manager self-service, and routine HRIS inquiries.
• Assist with HRIS testing, system updates, reporting, and special projects assigned.
Reporting & Data Support
• Prepare and maintain recurring HR and payroll reports, tracking logs, and workforce data records.
• Assist with data collection, validation, and reporting for audits, compliance requirements, organizational metrics, and management requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, associate’s degree required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HR Payroll Role.
• Strong Excel skills (ex. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, data analysis) and comfort working with large data sets
• Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal with an emphasis on a collaborative approach to working with a diverse group of staff and leaders.
• Dedicated, adaptable mindset with a creative and practicable approach to problem-solving.
• Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of ADP WFN preferred.
• Experience in administration of diverse benefits and not for profit experience.
