To help us continue to grow our offerings, we are seeking an HR Generalist who will assist in the daily functions of the HR department supporting Solatube employees. The right candidate will be self-guided and knowledgeable about CA labor laws, and have a successful track record with employee relations management, Leave of Absence management and other HR-related functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Supports payroll processing on biweekly basis.
  • Administers time keeping software ensuring accuracy and proper documentation, and other payroll support.
  • Maintains personnel records as mandated by legal requirements and by Company human resources policy.
  • Processes and records employee information electronically, such as personal data, compensation, benefits, attendance, termination dates and reason.
  • Responsible for employee onboarding and off-boarding.
  • Compiles and maintains personnel records, both physical and electronic.
  • Administers Workers Compensation claims & responsible for coordinating with others.
  • Answers employee questions related to benefits and compensation and assists with the administration of benefits.
  • Maintains and distributes current employee information, policy and procedure manuals, and other communication.
  • Communicates effectively with peers, supervisors, management, callers, and visitors.
  • Provides accurate reports to other departments as required and requested.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Partnering with outside legal counsel when needed.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Organizes and facilitates employee recognition events such as employee lunches and holiday recognition.
  • Performs all duties safely.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by Sr. HR Manager

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years' of prior HR Experience, specifically CA Labor Law, EE Relations and Investigations, LOA Management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Bilingual Spanish required.
  • Benefit Coordination from new hires to QLE to open enrollment.
  • Experience with an HRIS system and supporting payroll, experience with UKG preferred.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to work and maintain focus amidst numerous interruptions.
  • Computer competency in Microsoft suite such as word, excel, etc.
  • Communicates and acts with integrity, professionalism, confidentiality and develops trust with employees.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to address employee requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Self-disciplined and motivated.
  • Effective time management skills.
