Job Description

We are seeking a HR Supervisor - Shared Services to join our Houston team. As the HR Supervisor for Shared Services, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR Shared Services team, ensuring the efficient delivery of centralized HR services to all company locations. You will focus on streamlining HR processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality HR support. You will play a critical role in managing a team responsible for areas like employee data management and HR reporting. This role is hybrid reporting into the corporate office based in Houston, TX.

Shared Services Team Management:

  • Supervise and mentor HR Coordinators in the shared services team.
  • Ensure performance standards are met.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to address workload, productivity, and service delivery.

HR Service Delivery:

  • Manage the delivery of core HR services, including employee records management and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex HR inquiries and issues that cannot be resolved at lower levels.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with leadership in all supported locations, providing them with seamless HR support.

Process Improvement and Efficiency:

  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, workflows, and systems to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to standardize procedures across the organization, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Implement automation and technology solutions where appropriate to reduce manual tasks and improve accuracy.

Compliance and Policy Enforcement:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Supervise the accurate and timely processing of employee transactions, including new hires, status changes, and terminations.
  • Support audits and reporting requirements by ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.

HR Technology and Systems Management:

  • Oversee the use of HR systems (HRIS) and other technology tools used in shared services, ensuring they are utilized effectively.
  • Collaborate with HR Manager and HRIS Analyst to troubleshoot system issues and implement improvements.

Reporting and Data Analytics:

  • Generate, analyze, and audit HR reports to support decision-making and monitor the effectiveness of shared services.

Employee Experience and Communication:

  • Ensures that managers receive timely and accurate information related to employee transactions in process.

Training and Development:

  • Train and develop team members to ensure they are knowledgeable about HR systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging staff to seek opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • 4+ years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in shared services or an HR operations role.
  • Must be Proficient in UKG Pro and data management
  • Strong working knowledge of HR processes and shared services frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
