Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Human Resources Manager to join Kohler supporting the Operations and Supply Chain division. The HR Manager will serve as a key business partner supporting global Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Quality and Ops. Excellence. This position involves developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the divisions goals and objectives, ensuring a positive workplace culture, and fostering associate engagement and development.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership:
- Collaborate with HR leadership and operations leadership to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies to support operational goals.
- Build trusted relationships with SC/Ops leaders globally in order to provide day-to-day and strategic HR support.
- Provide insights and recommendations on workforce planning, talent management, succession planning and organizational development.
- Lead the development of various HR initiatives that foster an inclusive work environment.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for associate concerns and conflict resolution.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management and associates, addressing associate concerns and fostering a positive work environment.
- Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolution of workplace issues in a fair and consistent manner.
- Escalate alleged violations of policies to the appropriate parties (Employee Relations Manager, Security, etc.).
Talent Acquisition:
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to oversee the local onboarding process within operations to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Coordinate all hiring needs between the business and Recruitment.
Performance Management:
- Support the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and the use of Kohler Talent Cards for individual development purposes.
- Assist and provide guidance on short-term incentive plans and merit increases.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance-related issues.
- Monitor and evaluate associate performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate development programs with Engineering, Sourcing and Planning and with Learning & Development to enhance associate skills and capabilities.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
- Support succession planning initiatives to ensure a pipeline of talent for key positions.
Compliance and Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and programs.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize HR metrics and analytics to drive decision-making and identify trends related to associate engagement, turnover, and performance.
Initiatives:
- Work on initiatives across operations either regionally or globally to continue to ensure that Kohler remains a Best Employer.
- Miscellaneous projects and initiatives can include, but are not limited to: development of trainings, enhancing the mentorship/reverse mentorship programs, career development program creation, associate retention practices, etc.
Health and Safety:
- Collaborate with EHS and operations leadership to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Monitor workplace incidents and recommend improvements to safety protocols.
Other Duties
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources, Quality, Ops Ex, Engineering and Sourcing or the Director of Union & Associate Relations and Kohler Campus.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is required or the equivalent of 8+ years of equivalent experience acting as a Human Resources professional.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience being with a focus on talent management, engagement and development in a manufacturing or global operations setting preferred.
- Masters Degree is preferred.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Workday is a plus
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
The salary range for this position is $94,400 - $119,950. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
