Position Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator provides clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department. Requires excellent people skills and knowledge of office systems. Must be well organized and able to manage large flows of information while multitasking.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Human Resources Coordinator will perform administrative duties including, but not limited to:

  • Maintains human resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, and other employee changes.
  • Assist in preparing new hire materials and onboarding of new employees by providing new hire information packets; and gathering and obtaining signatures on required forms
  • Track missing information to ensure completion of files
  • Assists with processing employment and personal references for job applicants
  • Provides employment verification in accordance with agency policy and procedures
  • Performs ongoing quality assurance audits of personnel files and HRIS.
  • Answer employees' basic questions and resolve issues and assistant employees with Employee Self Service systems
  • Coordinates the archiving of HR department records and files annually
  • Handle special human resources projects as assigned
  • Providing timely assistance to team members regarding benefit and human resource questions and issues.
  • Preparing offer packets benefit packets and other employee related information.
  • Maintaining employee personnel files to ensure legal compliance.
  • Coordinating employee benefit eligibility, enrollments, terminations, and payments.
  • Providing written and verbal employment verifications.
  • Coordinating new hire paperwork, and new hire orientation meetings.
  • Responsible for coordination of background screenings for all prospective employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates Degrees in Human Services, Bachelor degree preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in Human Resources.
  • High level of confidentially required
  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Knowledgeable in Human Resources practices and principles.
