The Human Resources Business Partner advises on HR policy and assists with implementation of HR procedures and processes. Works directly with the organization's leadership to develop and direct an HR agenda that closely supports the organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues and referring very complex or contentious issues to others. Investigate, and propose solutions for, complex cases in liaison with line managers; coordinate the organization's response to legal cases brought by individuals; contribute to the
preparation of legal submissions and ensure all parties complete casework accurately and within deadlines. Contribute to the management of partnering relationships with internal clients, building effective working relationships and providing high-quality professional services to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Senior Professional Human Resources, Certified Compensation Professional or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist preferred. Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum of 2 year's experience in more than one area of Human Resources. Must have an occupationally significant combination of: broad job knowledge; excellent communications (verbal/written), proven analytical, problem solving -decision making, leadership, customer relations, and resource management skills; a high level of integrity; abilities to plan, formulate and execute policies and programs; skills in teamwork and promoting safety work practices; flexibility to adjust to changing conditions; and demonstrate ability to motivate a diverse workforce.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Physical Demands: Works in office under good conditions. Frequent travel to various local locations. Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment. Sensory (ADA) Requirements: The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing and speaking abilities. May be subject to hazards at work sites during field inspections.
