The current vacancy is within the Equal Employment Opportunity Division.
- High school diploma or equivalent. An evaluation of foreign high school diploma may be required.
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in administrative areas of human resources management functions, preferrable with Equal Employment Opportunity initiatives.
- Demonstrated proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications, filing and records management systems, forms design principles, and other office procedures and terminology. Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Must have strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Experience should include extensive customer service contact work.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar; may require ability to function as a notary public.
- Possession and maintenance of a valid Florida driver's license throughout employment without restrictions that may affect job performance.
- Experience with PeopleSoft, Purchase Order requisitions, P-card reconciliation, Workday, and payroll entry preferred.
- Experience handling confidential documents and sensitive information preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Such experience must be clearly documented on the application for consideration.
Under administrative direction, the purpose of the position is to perform specialized technical and administrative support work in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO). Employees in this classification will assist with the research, collection and review of case data for EEO complaints, ADA Accommodation requests, compliance report preparation and training presentations. Employee should have basic knowledge of EEO laws and employee's rights in the work environment.

Reviews forms for the purpose of verifying for completion, qualifications, and eligibility.
Compiles, prepares, and maintains files, information and other EEO related documents.
Utilizes, accesses, and retrieves information; maintaining and updating EEO files, payroll records, department budget reports and purchase order/receipts.
Functions in a reception capacity for the purpose of greeting applicants, employees, and other visitors, receiving and responding to telephone inquiries, directing persons to appropriate entities or departments, and providing information.
Processes administrative forms to ensure compliance with established laws and regulations and agency policies and procedures.
Maintains EEO files according to applicable laws.
Ensures the security, integrity, and confidentiality of all EEO records processed and/or accessed in accordance with agency policy and established state and federal regulations concerning employee rights and protections.
Prepares various activity and production records, forms and similar documents using various Microsoft office computer programs.
Assist with researching and resolving questions and/or concerns; provides recommendation to EEO staff on available options for resolving such.
Compiles, reviews, records and reconciles transactions for purchases, billing statements, receipts and payments; files reports according to policies, procedures, and other applicable guidelines.
Applies bookkeeping principles to the maintenance of complex personnel/payroll; posts data to personnel/payroll.
Makes arithmetic computations and tabulations rapidly and accurately.
Maintains current knowledge of trends and developments in ADA, FLSA, and EEO.
Takes telephone inquiries and complaints, ascertaining the nature of the call, and providing personal assistance or directing such to the appropriate entity.
Assist with coordinating and preparing facilities/areas for scheduled trainings to include materials, room assignment, and equipment.
Performs other administrative support duties, i.e., opening and distributing mail, copying and distributing information, filing, ordering and inventorying supplies, and departmental payroll processing.
Assists EEO staff in conducting surveys, studies, and research projects.
Performs related administrative support tasks according to the direction and discretion of administrative supervisor.
Performs related duties as directed.
Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). May require physical agility and balance for tasks, such as climbing, kneeling, bending, stooping and/or reaching for objects at or above floor level. Tasks involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Work is performed in usual office conditions with rare exposure to disagreeable environmental factors.
