What You ll Do
As an Employment Specialist, you will lead and implement all phases of vocational services, including:
Developing individualized employment plans based on client strengths and goals
Building relationships with local employers and community partners
Identifying job opportunities and matching candidates to positions
Supporting job placement, retention, and long-term success
Educating employers about disability inclusion and workplace accommodations
Maintaining knowledge of assistive technology and workplace supports
Reviewing vocational, medical, educational, and psychological information to guide planning
Conducting client orientations and weekly one-on-one goal meetings
Participating in team planning meetings
Completing documentation in compliance with program and funding guidelines
This role blends job development, career coaching, advocacy, and case coordination.
What You Bring
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver s license and current auto insurance
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends
Ability to pass background and driving record checks
Preferred
Associate s or Bachelor s degree in social services, education, behavioral health, rehabilitation, human resources, marketing, or related field
Experience in case management, employment services, sales, recruiting, HR, or workforce development
Knowledge of disability services and community resources
Strong networking and relationship-building skills
