The ideal candidate will have a passion for HR, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks ranging from recruitment to benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Recruitment & Staffing: Manage full-cycle recruiting, including posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting interviews, performing background checks, and updating job requirements.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate new hire orientation, prepare onboarding materials, and conduct exit interviews to gather feedback.
- Benefits & Compensation: Administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, 401(k), etc.), process changes, and assist with payroll inquiries.
- Employee Records & HRIS: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential personnel records and employee data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Employee Relations & Compliance: Address employee inquiries, resolve conflicts, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (e.g., FMLA, EEO, wage & hour).
- Performance Management: Assist with the coordination of performance reviews and support managers with employee development initiatives.
- Proven experience as an HR Specialist, HR Generalist, or in a similar HR role.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, HR best practices, and office administration.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees.
