This is a long-term, permanent career move with a company that values stability. You'll be the go-to person for making sure everyone gets paid accurately and on time across several different states. What You'll Be Doing - Running Payroll: Handling the regular cycles to make sure wages, overtime, and bonuses are all spot on. - Keeping Records Current: Updating the system for new hires, departures, and any pay changes or tax updates. - Managing Deductions: Taking care of the details like benefits, garnishments, and taxes while staying on the right side of federal and state laws. - Solving Problems: Reconciling reports and fixing any glitches before the submit button is hit. - Helping the Team: Working closely with HR and Finance to keep data clean and helping out with year-end W-2s and audits. What We're Looking For - Experience: You've been doing payroll or accounting for at least 3 to 5 years. - Know-How: You understand payroll taxes, wage laws, and how deductions work across different states. - Software: You're comfortable using systems like ADP, Paychex, or UKG. - Tech Skills: You know your way around an Excel spreadsheet. - Reliability: You're highly organized and know how to handle sensitive info with total discretion. Work Environment This position is based in-office, though there is some flexibility for occasional remote work once you're fully up to speed. Since payroll is time-sensitive, we just ask for a little flexibility during those busy processing weeks or at the end of the year.
