JOB SUMMARY:
The Provider Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the Sr. Provider Recruiter by driving proactive sourcing, pipeline development, and candidate engagement across targeted markets. This role focuses on identifying and cultivating high-quality physician and provider talent, ensuring a steady and qualified pipeline to meet current and future hiring needs.
This is a highly proactive role centered on outreach, relationship-building, and market intelligence, enabling the recruiting team to move quickly and effectively on open positions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (other duties as required):
- Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Partner directly with the Sr. Provider Recruiter to understand priority roles, markets, and hiring timelines
- Proactively source physicians and providers using LinkedIn, databases, referrals, and targeted research
- Build and maintain active pipelines of qualified candidates across specialties and regions
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage passive candidates
- Candidate Engagement
- Conduct initial outreach and screening conversations to assess interest, alignment, and qualifications
- Build and maintain ongoing relationships with prospective candidates, including residents and fellows
- Ensure a professional, responsive, and high-touch candidate experience from first contact
- Market Mapping & Intelligence
- Map target markets, competitors, and training programs to identify talent pools
- Provide insights to the Sr. Provider Recruiter on candidate availability, compensation expectations, and market trends
- Support development of targeted recruitment strategies based on market data
- Attend conferences, residency events, and networking opportunities to build brand presence
- Develop relationships with residency and fellowship programs
- Recruiting Support & Coordination
- Partner with the Sr. Provider Recruiter to move candidates through the pipeline efficiently
- Maintain accurate candidate records, notes, and activity tracking in ATS/CRM systems
- Support scheduling, follow-ups, and candidate communication as needed
- Develop relationships with residency and fellowship programs

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. with occasional weekend travel and evening events.
TRAVEL:
Travel is required from time to time (20-30%).
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, recruiting, sales, or business development
- 1-3 years of experience in healthcare and physician recruiting
- Direct exposure to provider recruitment, workforce planning, or clinical staffing models
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify, engage, and build relationships with talent
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with physicians and senior-level professionals
- Experience using sourcing tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS/CRM systems)
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of experience in healthcare or physician recruiting
- Experience supporting high-volume or multi-site recruiting environments
- Familiarity with residency and fellowship programs and physician career pathways
- Proven ability to contribute to talent pipeline strategy and market mapping initiative
