There are six youth facilities and 13 probation offices across Alaska. This position is part of the Division Director's Office, which provides statewide agency administrative support and management oversight for juvenile probation services and six juvenile facilities, and is critical to the Division's staff development and training. For more information about our mission and core values, please visit our website: What You Will Be Doing This position provides oversight and recommendations to Division staff regarding statewide and regional training needs, practices, management, planning, policies, and procedures. This position is responsible for arranging and overseeing statewide and regional training initiatives for Division of Juvenile Justice staff. Training initiatives including division mandatory training and training needed for new division initiatives, implementing the training, providing training oversight, and updating the training as needed. This position works with managers and staff to develop training initiatives from conception through completion and evaluation. The incumbent assists with the development of the annual statewide training plan, develops methods for tracking and monitoring staff training, and facilitates work groups and committee meetings to move Division training initiatives forward.
