Summary

We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our dynamic HR team and contributeto the success of our growing business. The HR Specialist will provide essentialadministrative support in a fast-paced, highly confidential environment. Thisrole involves a wide range of Human Resources functions, including recruitment,onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations. This is a fulltime, on-site position in Wallingford, CT.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate and support the recruitment process, including job postings,screening resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, and communicating withcandidates.Schedules and facilitates all pre-employment screenings and onboardingprocedures for new hires and conducts new hire orientation.Maintain and update employee records in compliance with company policies andlegal regulations.Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of employee data in HR systems andpersonnel files.Support the administration of employee benefits programs such as healthinsurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.Act as a liaison between employees and benefits providers to resolve issuesand answer questions.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws andregulations.Prepare reports related to HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, andemployee demographics.Support employee relations efforts by helping to resolve workplaceconflicts, conducting investigations, and promoting a positive work environment.Provide guidance to employees on HR-related topics and escalate complexissues to senior HR staff.Support HR events and communications including newsletters, surveys, andrecognition programs.Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2 years of equivalent experiencePrior experience in a Human Resources department preferredExperience working in a manufacturing and/or unionized environment a plusExperience with Ceridian Dayforce HRIS a plusProficient in Microsoft365, with strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel andthe ability to create detailed and accurate reportsExceptional attention to detailProven customer service excellenceAbility to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment while meetingdeadlinesDemonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretionStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management abilities
