Elayn Hunt Correctional Center is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Analyst to support critical personnel and payroll functions within a fast-paced correctional environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate employee administration, compliance with Civil Service and departmental policies, and high-quality service to staff across the facility. We are looking for an analytical, organized HR professional who values integrity, teamwork, and the opportunity to contribute to the mission of a secure and rehabilitative institution.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of human resources experience; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR

A bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

Processes the full range of personnel and payroll actions needed to complete appointments, merit increases, promotions, transfers, separations, etc.

Provides general, basic explanation of employee benefit programs and advises employees of various options available under some programs. Reviews benefits documents for accuracy and completeness; forwards to appropriate office.

Reviews files on a routine basis to ensure that current descriptions are maintained for all positions.

Provides assistance to agency personnel on routine or limited Civil Service rules, Federal and State laws, and department policies and procedures in assigned areas.

Schedules employees for required training courses. Monitors and maintains records of completed course work.

Appointment Type: CLASSIFIED WAE

This position is a when actually employed' (WAE) position without benefits.

Any degree, certificate, special license, or DD-214 must be verified by official documentation prior to hire.

This is a 24-hour facility.
