Purpose
The Human Resources Manager serves as a key member of the Plant Management Team, directly supporting the Site Leader. This hands-on position is responsible for leading all Human Resources operations, programs, and services for the Plant location. The position will partner closely with the Director of Human Resources to support the organization's mission and strategic plan.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with plant leadership including coordinators and supervisors to provide support and a strong leadership presence for hourly employees.
- Ensure consistent application of policies, practices and company values.
- Maintain consistent application of the job bidding process.
- Coordinate full lifecycle recruitment and staffing, including development of sourcing strategies for all hourly and salary positions.
- Recruiting for hourly non-exempt and salary exempt open positions
- Responsible for all new hire and temporary staffing orientation programs.
- Provides employee development expertise, support systems and processes focused on on-the-job training for new and promoted employees.
- Maintain effective labor relations with the workforce.
- Partners with managers and employees to resolve issues and concerns.
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of workforce information in human resources information systems.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; advising management on needed actions.
- Work in a safe and healthy manner, adhering to all safety rules and practices.
- Represent the company's core values of being committed, action oriented, and accessible.
- Other related duties as assigned.
