SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY:
The Senior Human Resources Staffing Manager serves as a critical link between district objectives and employee management. This role provides high-level support for staffing, hiring, employee relations, and pay administration. As a senior member of the team, you will not only manage the HR needs of a designated portfolio-Staffing Zone 1, Central Academic Departments, and Volunteers-but also provide mentorship and leadership to other HR Business Partners to ensure district-wide consistency and excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The following outlines what your core duties and responsibilities will be for this position and provides a sample overview of what your day-to-day may look like.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Staffing & Planning: Direct oversight of staffing for Zone 1 and Central Office Departments. Collaborate with principals on staffing. Responsible for hiring in designated staffing zone.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise support staff designated to support this area and its functions. Supervise and provide mentorship and guidance to the HRBP managing Zones 3 and 4 to ensure consistent policy application. Collaborate badging process with HR Senior Managers.
- Volunteer Program Management: Manage the IPS volunteer platform and process. Supervise the day to day "Volunteer Process," encompassing background checks, compliance, and reporting.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize HR data to analyze vacancies, turnover, and other staffing related data. Conduct routine audits for accuracy and verification of staffing levels, certification, and compensation. Establish reporting tools and maintain a system to regularly report out updates.
- Compliance & Policy: Serve as a subject matter expert on federal, state, and local laws. Maintain internal and external HR policies and ensure license compliancy for employees in this hiring zone.
- Recruitment & Induction: Participate in job fairs and collaborate with the talent acquisition team to source high-quality candidates. Guide new hires through a seamless onboarding process.

"Day In the Life" Overview
On a regular day, as the HR Business Partner, you might:
- Perform routine audits of staffing workbooks to ensure budgetary compliance.
- Review and process new hire recommendations, offer letters, and separations.
- Mentor HRBPs on complex employee relations issues or policy interpretations.
- Provide guidance to Principals regarding District policies and licensure requirements.
- Oversee the processing and approval of district volunteers.
- Prepare Staffing Reports
- Monitor volunteer application volume & status'
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in public administration, education, human
resources management, business, management science, organizational behavior, or closely
related field or minimum of five years related experience.
A minimum of five years of human resources management experience or related field
PHR, SPHR or equivalent credentialing preferred but not required
