As an independent journey level analyst under general direction of the Personnel Officer, the Analyst II works cooperatively with other Human Resources, Commission, and Control Agency staff to perform analytical assignments including recruiting, exams, classification and compensation, position control, and performance management.
Note: Posted salaries do not reflect the 2 - 4.62% pay reduction in exchange for 3.5 8 hours per month of leave arising from the Personal Leave Program 2025. Information related to salary reductions is available in Section 2113 of the CalHR Human Resources Manual.
New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of the alternate salary range when applicable. Placement into an alternate range may be based on education or experience identified in your state application.

Working Conditions- Core business hours of 9AM to 3PM.

- This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the State Lands Commission policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the positions designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense.
