HR Associate (Contract - Leave Coverage)

Location: Elizabeth, NJ

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-4:30

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Pay Rate: Up to $24/hour

Employment Type: Contract (Leave Coverage)

Position Overview

The HR Associate provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team in a fast-paced environment. This role assists with key HR functions including onboarding, employee records management, benefits support, and recruitment coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates or recent college graduates looking to gain hands-on HR experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support new hire onboarding, including background checks, I-9 verification, and new hire documentation

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems

  • Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries

  • Provide support for leave administration and employee relations matters

  • Coordinate interview scheduling and assist with recruitment processes

  • Prepare HR documentation, reports, and general correspondence

  • Support payroll processing activities and employee data updates

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations

  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team and assist with HR projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (recent grads encouraged to apply)

  • Internship or 1- 2 years of experience in HR or administrative support is a plus

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Pay Details: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
