Kforce's client in Woodbury, NY, a full-service accounting/consulting firm is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead key HR functions and support a high-performing, positive workplace. This role partners with leadership to drive HR strategy and execution across recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compliance, payroll oversight, benefits, and HR programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Align HR strategies with business goals; Advise on workforce planning and organizational design
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding; partner with hiring managers on talent needs
  • Lead performance management, employee development, and engagement initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations, ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Oversee payroll accuracy, time tracking, PTO, and benefits administration (no direct processing)
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity, employee records, and compliance with employment laws
  • Support audits, reporting, and HR policy development
  • Drive HR programs, training, and firm-wide initiatives, including special projects

This role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to balance strategy with execution in a confidential, service-oriented environment.* Degree in Human Resources or related field

  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and best practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Significant experience in employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (UKG preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
