Job Title: HR Generalist
Duration: 6+ months Contract (potential conversion)
Location: Provo UT
Required Pay Scale: $23-$24/hr on W2
- Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC or GC candidates*
Job Summary:
Nature of the Role
- This is an entry-level HR position, but they are looking for a strong and capable candidate.
- Initially hired as a contingent worker, with possibility of conversion to FTE.
- Longer work hours may be expected.
- Overtime likely during summer season due to business demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Workplace investigations and handling employee concerns.
- Managing employee relations cases day-to-day.
- Communicating with external individuals (e.g., inquiries, complaints, or investigations).
- Supporting coworker connections and internal communication.
- Identifying issues using data-driven insights.
- Supporting business partnering with Sales Operations teams.
- Potential involvement in office investigations and talent readiness initiatives.
Team & Work Style
- Team is high-performing but small, requiring people who can work independently without micromanagement.
- Manager prefers self-driven employees and does not like micromanagement.
- Manager is supportive and gives credit and training opportunities.
Preferred Background / Must-Have Skills
- HR degree preferred (not mandatory if candidate has strong HR experience).
- Experience in Employee Relations (ER).
- Customer service experience is valuable.
- Background in restaurant/retail environment such as Starbucks is a plus.
- Experience with business partnering or Sales Operations support is beneficial.
