Knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards, including 29 CFR 1910
Understanding of manufacturing safety principles, including:
Machine guarding
Lockout/Tagout

Hazard assessments
Experience conducting safety inspections and audits
Experience performing incident investigations
Knowledge of hazardous materials handling
Knowledge of chemical safety practices
Familiarity with industrial hygiene concepts, including noise and exposure monitoring
Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel
Ability to maintain detailed safety and compliance documentation
Preferred Skills Prior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, pharmaceutical, or laboratory environment
Experience with EHS management systems or incident tracking software
Familiarity with EPA hazardous waste regulations
Familiarity with environmental compliance programs
OSHA 30-Hour certification
EHS-related certifications
Experience supporting workers' compensation activities
Experience supporting safety committees
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Job Responsibilities Support implementation and administration of environmental, health, and safety programs
Ensure EHS programs comply with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local regulations
Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments across manufacturing, laboratory, and office areas
Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses
Perform root cause analysis and support corrective action implementation
Assist with safety training programs, including new hire orientation and recurring compliance training
Support Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, PPE, hazard communication, ergonomics, emergency response, and industrial hygiene programs
Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and compliance files
Track and report safety metrics, including incidents, near misses, corrective actions, and key performance indicators
Assist with hazardous materials management and chemical safety programs
Support hazardous waste compliance activities
Participate in environmental monitoring, audits, and regulatory reporting
Review new equipment, processes, and operational changes for safety and environmental impacts
Support employees and supervisors with EHS-related questions
Support workers' compensation and return-to-work activities as needed
Interface with external agencies, auditors, and emergency response personnel when required
