The ideal candidate for the Human Resource Manager position will have experience in all areas of the Human Resource function, including experience working in a union environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, benefits administration; recruitment and retention efforts, including candidate screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding; ensuring compliance; and providing support throughout the employment lifecycle. Additionally, this role is responsible for managing incoming calls, handling walk-in inquiries, supporting special projects, and providing coaching and counseling to colleagues as required.
The ideal candidate will also coordinate and manage employee relations initiatives and events, including celebrations, cafeteria postings, recognition programs, and the overall colleague experience calendar.
This position reports to the Assistant Director of Human Resources. Experience with the following systems is preferred\: Taleo, ADP EV6, HireRight, Equifax, MySedgwick, and WFM Dimensions.
Perform other duties and special projects on a case-by-case basis.

Refined verbal, written, and presentation skills in English- Spanish is a plus.
2 years or more of HR experience in a hotel preferred.
A 4-year college degree; or a 2-year college degree and 2 or more years of related experience.
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge including Microsoft Suites, Outlook, Excel, etc.
Outstanding customer relations, communication, presentation, and organizational skills are of utmost importance.
Must possess the following strengths\: high energy, results driven, passion, motivational leader, effective and open communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service.
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels of employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

Must be solution oriented, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
