The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, leave and attendance management, employee records, and terminations. This role also serves as a key partner to business units, ensuring effective delivery of HR services while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and applicable federal and state employment laws. Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to: HR Operations & Compliance Ensure HR policies and practices comply with all applicable federal and state employment laws. Maintain accurate employee records within the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and generate reports for HR leadership and management. Coordinate and maintain employment, attendance, and personnel documentation in compliance with company standards. Assist with preparation of required government filings, including EEO-1, VETS-100, and Cal/OSHA 300 reports. Support annual Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) preparation and reporting activities. Recruitment & Onboarding Support with recruitment activities, including sourcing candidates, coordinating with staffing agencies, and conducting initial applicant screenings. Manage onboarding processes, including background checks, I-9 verification, and E-Verify compliance. Payroll & HRIS Administration Process employee updates, deductions, and changes in ADP. Support payroll accuracy prior to processing and collaborate with Payroll Administrator to resolve discrepancies. Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of employee time and attendance. Employee Relations & Support Support employee relations processes, including investigations and disciplinary meetings. Assist with exit interviews and termination procedures. Manage unemployment insurance (UI), state disability insurance (SDI), and paid family leave (PFL) claims. Benefits & Leave Administration Administer employee benefits programs and serve as a point of contact for employees and providers. Manage all leave of absence processes, including tracking, documentation, and employee communication. Monitor benefit eligibility timelines and enrollment status. Training & Development Maintain employee training records and serve as system administrator for SAI Global & internal training systems. Coordinate employee and supervisory training programs. Additional Responsibilities Administer workers' compensation and employee injury claims in coordination with appropriate stakeholders. Assist in planning and coordinating company events and special functions. Administer petty cash processes as required. Support HR Director and Sr. HR Generalist with reports, projects, and special assignments. Performs other related duties as required or assigned. Follows company rules and procedures. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred. 2-5 years' experience in Human Resources. Bilingual in Vietnamese preferred. Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio). Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively. Self-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce. Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Training Requirements: NA Travel Requirements: Periodic travel may be required to support project functions such as supplier visits, product testing, and technical customer meetings. ITAR Requirements: To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Physical Demands: (*) The position requires that the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel. The employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, and kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: (*) This position will require a working environment mix comprised of office, shop floor, field and customer locations (both domestic and international).
