Job Description: Addison Group is partnering with a growing organization in Charlotte to identify an experienced HR Generalist for a 6+ month contract opportunity. This role will support day-to-day HR operations while providing hands-on support across payroll, benefits, HRIS administration, reporting, compliance, and employee relations. The HR Generalist will serve as a key HR partner to employees and managers, helping maintain consistent HR practices and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day HR operations while ensuring consistency, compliance, and accuracy Process bi-weekly payroll and support payroll audits, garnishments, deductions, and bonus payouts Administer employee benefits including enrollments, changes, and terminations Maintain accurate employee records and oversee HRIS updates for hires, changes, and terminations Generate HR reports and support compliance initiatives, audits, and reporting requirements Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and manager HR-related inquiries Provide guidance on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and performance management Support process improvement initiatives related to HR systems and operations Partner cross-functionally with leadership and internal departments to support business needs Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, including payroll and benefits administration Demonstrated ability to own and manage HR processes independently Hands-on experience with UKG or similar HRIS/payroll systems strongly preferred Strong understanding of employment laws, payroll practices, and HR compliance Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment Perks: Opportunity to join a collaborative and growing organization Exposure to multiple areas of Human Resources operations High-visibility role with autonomy and ownership of HR processes Professional and team-oriented work environment Long-term contract opportunity with potential for conversion Additional Details: Business casual dress code Fully onsite role in Uptown Charlotte Parking not covered Target start date is mid-June or early July Initial contract expected to last 6+ months Interview process includes onsite or virtual interviews with HR leadership Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
