Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll Responsibilities
- Process and maintain accurate payroll records for all district employees.
- Compile payroll data including hours worked, leave time, taxes, insurance deductions, union dues, and wage adjustments.
- Review and audit payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Process employee payroll changes including salary adjustments, deductions, direct deposits, and benefit changes.
- Assist with year-end payroll processing and reporting, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation.
- Prepare payroll-related reports for administration, auditors, and state agencies.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and personnel information.
Human Resources Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee personnel files and HR databases.
- Assist with onboarding, employment paperwork, and personnel transactions.
- Support benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and employee assistance.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, leave, and personnel records.
- Maintain accurate records related to workers' compensation, leaves, and other employee matters.
- Prepare reports and documentation as requested by administration
Systems & Compliance
Utilize district software systems including:
iVisions
BenefitSolver
Frontline
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ensure compliance with district policies, payroll regulations, and applicable state and federal laws.
Assist with audits and reporting requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the CSBO, HR Director or Administration.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll, human resources, or school district office experience preferred.
- Experience with school district payroll systems strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of iVisions, BenefitSolver, and Frontline preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Salary/Benefits
Compensation & Benefits
Starting salary begins at $65,000 annually and is commensurate with experience.
