HR Generalist/Payroll

LHH is seeking a dependable and motivated Payroll & HR Coordinator to join our client's team. This position is responsible for supporting payroll operations and assisting with various human resources functions in a manufacturing setting. The selected candidate will help ensure payroll accuracy, maintain employee information, assist with hiring and onboarding activities, and support compliance initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process payroll transactions
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, employee deductions, tax information, and benefit updates
  • Assist with onboarding activities and completion of new hire paperwork
  • Support day-to-day employee relations and HR administrative tasks
  • Verify timekeeping and attendance information for payroll processing
  • Address payroll-related questions and assist in resolving discrepancies
  • Ensure payroll activities comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Support payroll reporting and documentation requirements
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee leave tracking

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in payroll and human resources
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • Familiarity with Paylocity or comparable payroll/HRIS platforms such as ADP, UKG, Paychex, or Workday
  • Strong understanding of payroll procedures and HR best practices
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Pay/Benefits:

  • Pay: $24-$28/hr depending on experience
  • Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan. Our program provides employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria

Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
