MPS Group, Inc., is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to join our team at the Ford KCAP Facility located in Kansas City, MO. This individual works closely with onsite operations leadership for the shared goal of delivering quality services safely. This person will provide hands on identification and control of hazardous workplace conditions.

Shift Details:

Shift: 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Establish and maintain the site-specific health and safety plan and its components.
  • Conduct company health and safety training to all new hire personnel, and recurrent training for existing personnel.
  • Conduct Safety Observation Tours to validate employee training, knowledge, skills, and competence in the field.
  • Mentor and enforce employees on the job in safety requirements including regulations, customer requirements, company policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Prepare, amend, and maintain pre-task safety plans and task instruction sheets.
  • Conduct various site safety briefings and meetings.
  • Conduct various audits, such as equipment inspections, compliance to site-specific operations and safety plan, pre-task safety plans and task instruction sheets.
  • Conduct respirator fit testing, as needed.
  • Prepare incident reports and conduct proper investigations, including, safety stand down meetings, final incident investigation reports and corrective actions.
  • Assist in the assessment and procurement of safety supplies, equipment, small tools, and services needed to ensure ample supplies are available and in good working condition (ex. air monitors, fall protection and retrieval equipment, supplied air systems, patient packaging equipment, lock-out/tag-out equipment, etc.).
  • Participate in operational planning meetings and jobsite walk-throughs as appropriate.
  • Qualify or train employees on powered industrial equipment, such as fork trucks, burden carriers, ride-on scrubbers, industrial carts, skid steers, manlifts, etc.
  • Ensure employees are current with medical monitoring and training requirements and take appropriate action where deficiencies are discovered.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year industry related experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Industry-specific training certificates (ex. OSHA 10/30-Hour, COSS, ASP/CSP, CHMM, HAZWOPER, Confined Space Rescue, First Aid/CPR, etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and physical.
